Yahoo Site Explorer Accepts Mobile Web Feeds
Yahoo Site Explorer was made available for the huge audience about two years ago. Since its launch a number of new features have been added: Feed Submission, Site Authentication and more data for webmasters. And today the Yahoo team launches one more feature.
Site Explorer enables Mobile submit
From this time on publishers will be able to submit mobile sites and feeds to Site Explorer. This makes them gain access to Yahoo oneSearch and mobile used base in general. Yahoo’s mobile crawler will look through the feeds in order to find new pages.
The feeds can have the following formats:
- RSS 0.9, 1.0 / 2.0
- Sitemaps
- Atom 0.3 / Atom 1.0 (Yahoo! Search Blog)
- A text file with a list of URLs, each URL at the start of a new line
- A single webpage
Moreover Yahoo team has created the new mechanism of fighting with spam. Now if you encounter a suspicious inlink, you can simply press “Spam report” button and this will automatically send a spam report.
