The hugest online mobile software shop Handandgo has become even more customer-unfriendly by introducing a required registration just to download a trial version:

“Please login to your Handango Member Account to download free or trial software. If you do not already have a Handango Member Account, please enter your email address and click “continue.” We will ask you for more information on the next page. Handango Membership is free!”

The Handango membership is really free in terms of money, but the demand to enter an e-mail just to download a trial version of the software is a bad limitation for developers. In reality the company has practically decrease the number of users who will download trial versions and as a result buy the software at Handandgo.

I can’t advice you against using Handandgo, but I would like you to consider alternative services such as MobiHand, Motricity (PocketGear) and other ones instead.

Moreover you can try a software section of Msmobiles store. The section is not powered by Handandgo or other huge company - it is totally independent. The shop offers very high percentage of money going to developers. You can pay with Google Checkout beside credit cards and PayPal. And the last but not the least: customers can download trial version without having to enter e-mails.
