Fring-22.gif

Fring community has announced that from this time on its VoIP-client support automatic roaming between Wi-Fi and traditional cell networks. This enables all the users with 3G/Wi-Fi devices to connect to the 3rd generation networks automatically.

If there is no Wi-Fi network available fring connects to 3G/GPRS networks. Unlike the existing standards, fring automatic roaming works with all the possible network, provider types and fring-enabled devices. According to the creators such flexibility provides the users with freedom and optimal conditions while changing Wi-Fi and 3G networks.
When activated, fring automatic roaming constantly traces all the available wireless networks (3G, GPRS, Wi-Fi networks the user had already been connected to) and switches among them automatically according to their availability.

The priority is given the free Wi-Fi connection unless he settings are adjusted by the user. The switch between Wi-Fi and 3G networks is carried out when the device is not in the call mode. For instance, when you enter your house fring will locate the house Wi-Fi zone and automatically connect to it. After this all the VoIP calls and messages will be made within this very zone.
