As the number of children using mobile phones for communication with friends and relatives increases, parents are more concerned about the issue of potentially harmful mobile content available for mobile devices.

In order to help parents to control the web-resources used by their children, Alltel Wireless in collaboration with the world leader in mobile Internet solutions Bytemobile has announced the release of Alltel Parental Controls, an application for filtrating the content. The service will be available from February 2008 and it will be free for t he users.

The service will be based on the content-filtration solution Unison ACCESS Mobile by Bytemobile. Alltel Parental Controls uses the complete base of adult web-pages enabling parents to filter the content on their children’s devices.

Potentially dangerous pages, which can be filtered by Alltel Parental Controls include porno sites, casinos, arms and violence. Parents can themselves change the setting of filtration from the page MyAccount on Alltel Wireless.
